Práce se zaměřuje na básnickou a esejistickou tvorbu peruánského autora Emilia Adolfa Westphalena (1911-2001). Zasazuje básníka do společensko-historického, ale i literárního kontextu, pro nějž byla ve 30. letech 20. století výchozím bodem dichotomie národního a zahraničního, indigenismu a avantgard. Zkoumá Westphalenovu esejistickou tvorbu zaměřenou na otázky poezie a tvůrčího procesu a na tomto základě pak analyzuje a interpretuje autorovy básně. Jejich náplní je konstrukce fikčního světa lyriky, jež vytváří subjekt díla pod vlivem inspirace/poezie. The thesis focuses on the poetic and essayistic work of the Peruvian author Emilio Adolfo Westphalen (1911-2001). It places the poet in a socio-historical, but also literary context for which the starting point in the 1930s was the dichotomy of national and foreign - indigenism and avant-gardism. It examines Westphalen's essayistic work focused on the theme of Poetry and the creative process, on the basis of which it then analyses and interprets the author's poems, the content of which is the construction of a fictional world of lyricism created by the subject of the work under the influence of Inspiration/Poetry.
