This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the testing of electrically conductive and piezoresistive layers applied to flexible and stretchable substrates. The initial part provides an overview of the fundamental principles of conductivity and piezoresistivity in thin films, along with a summary of commonly used materials and their physical properties in relation to potential applications. The core of the work is dedicated to the design and construction of measuring setups for evaluating selected electromechanical properties — specifically abrasion resistance, the influence of stretching on electrical resistance, and changes in conductivity under applied pressure in piezoresistive layers. A modified 3D printer was used for controlled motion and load application during testing. The measured data are quantitatively analyzed and discussed in terms of repeatability and the application potential of functional layers in smart textiles and sensing technologies.
