The scope of this bachelor thesis is the study of the transport properties of hydrogels based on polyethylene glycol polymer networks, which were modified by the addition of semi-interpenetrating polymer networks. Sodium polystyrene sulfonate was chosen as the network component for incorporation. The incorporation of methylene blue into the hydrogel structure was also part of the work. At the beginning of the experimental part, the preparation of the hydrogels was optimized with emphasis on reproducibility. Subsequently, the physicochemical properties of the hydrogels were analyzed. The swelling behaviour, and the leaching of the dye methylene blue and the photoinitiator Irgacure 2959 were investigated.
