Implementovány a statisticky zhodnoceny byly 4 varianty detektorů: základní, rozšířený, hybridní a hybridní s vlnkovou transformací. Zatímco základní detektor používal jednoduchou architekturu, rozšířený přinesl robustnější návrh s použitím dropout vrstev a dosáhl preciznosti 35 \%.
The bachelor thesis focuses on the use of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for forensic analysis of handwritten text, specifically the detection of the letter "a." Four detector variants were implemented: basic, extended, hybrid, and hybrid with wavelet transformation. While the basic detector employed a simple architecture, the extended version introduced a more robust design using dropout layers and achieved 35 \% precision. The hybrid model integrated a more complex two-stage approach with region proposals, which has advanced the precision to 65 \%. The architecture of the hybrid model extended with wavelet transformation represents an alternative approach aimed at covering a wider range of detector applications. The results show that hybrid models achieve significantly better detection metrics compared to the initial models. The work has shown that despite limited training dataset and high variability of letters, CNNs can be utilized effectively in the field of forensics.
