Dokumentace doprovází bakalářský projekt Krovky, který vychází z pozorování a interakce s makrosvětem vybraných druhů brouků. Prostřednictvím série interaktivních digitálních ilustrací práce zkoumá ne/invazivní lidský dotek v konfrontaci s autonomií organismů, které si zachovávají vlastní reakce nezávisle na lidském zásahu. Interakce v tomto projektu slouží ke zvědomění mnohdy prohlížené skutečnosti, že jako lidé jsme nedílnou součástí přírodních sítí, do kterých neustále pronikáme. Interaktivní ilustrace reprezentují tři v Česku běžně se vyskytující brouky – ruměnici, vrubouna a vroubenku – a skrze digitální médium jejich tělo zpřístupňují bezprostředním, avšak virtuálním, a proto bezpečným dotykem. Každá ilustrace představuje jiný typ zkušenosti, přes kterou zkoumám principy herní interakce. V tradičních hrách založených na ovládání myší je interakce limitována momentem kliknutí, který v některých případech vnímám jako bariéru mezi hráčstvem a digitálním prostředím. Klikání redukuje diegetickou existenci kurzoru pouze na pixely vymezené různými tlačítky a kolizemi, a ty reagují až ve spojení s hráčovou intencí. V kontextu práce jej vnímám jako narušení vztahu hráče a prostředí. V projektu tedy ponechávám pouze pohyb kurzoru, který se stává neustále přítomnou a samostatnou entitou digitálního makrosvěta, do kterého tak přichází jako samostatná postava. Kurzor spouští reakce nehledě na hráčův záměr a k principu pokus-omyl tak přistupuje se zvědavostí i dávkou nahodilosti. To činí hráče všudypřítomným až invazivním, podobně jako je to v přirozeném prostředí.
This documentation accompanies the bachelor's project Krovky, which is based on observation and interaction with the macroworld of selected beetle species. Through a series of interactive digital illustrations, the work explores non-invasive human touch in confrontation with the autonomy of organisms that maintain their own reactions independent of human intervention. Interaction in the project serves to raise awareness of the often-overlooked fact that as humans we are an integral part of natural networks into which we constantly penetrate. The interactive illustrations represent three beetles commonly found in the Czech Republic – the Firebug, Dung Beetle and the The Western Conifer Seed Bug – and through the digital medium make their bodies accessible through immediate, yet virtual, and therefore safe touch. Each illustration represents a different type of experience through which I explore the principles of game interaction. In traditional games based on mouse control, interaction is limited by the moment of clicking, which in some cases I perceive as a barrier between the game and the digital environment. Clicking reduces the diegetic existence of the cursor to pixels defined by various buttons and collisions, and these only react with the player's intention. I perceive that as a disruption of the relationship between the player and the environment. In the project, I therefore only work with the movement of the cursor, which becomes a constantly present and independent entity of the digital macroworld, into which it thus enters as an independent character. The cursor triggers reactions regardless of the player's intention, thus approaching the principle of trial and error with curiosity and a dose of randomness. This makes the player omnipresent and invasive, similar to how humans behave in the natural environment.
