The aim of this work is to propose a machine learning model that can detect stress and distinguish between physical and psychological stress. Another goal is then to design several such models, compare them with each other and select the best one. The thesis discusses about stress, its types, manifestations and its detection. Current knowledge in stress detection is described. An overview of basic data processing methods and five most used machine learning models are included. Furthermore, suitable databases are searched on the Internet to classify stress using the five models described. Using the Python programming language, the databases are processed into a suitable form. Next, the described machine learning models are developed to detect and further classify stress in the databases. The models are tested and compared with each other.
