The bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of the mechanical properties of selected elastomeric impression materials, which are widely used in dental prosthetics and orthodontics. Testing was conducted on five different impression materials: elite HD+, zetaplus, and hydrorise from Zhermack; speedex from Coltene; and Impregum Soft from 3M ESPE. The primary testing me-thod was a uniaxial tensile test, with the material properties evaluated at two time intervals 24 hours and two months after curing. This approach enabled the assessment of the effects of ageing on their mechanical properties, particularly ultimate strength and ductility. The results of the statistical analyses indicated significant differences in both ultimate strength and ductility among the tested materials. While some materials exhibited a notable impact of ageing, others maintained their original mechanical properties. The testing also included an assessment of compressibility, which confirmed that all materials were virtually incompressible. This property is essential for simulating their behavior using computational modeling methods. The findings of this study may prove useful in selecting the most appropriate impression material based on spe-cific clinical requirements.
