Předmětem návrhu je školní kampus střední školy v oblasti Kashitu v Zambii, kde v okruhu 40 km chybí jakákoliv navazující vzdělávací infrastruktura pro žáky, kteří ukončí základní školu. Účelem stavby je vytvořit vzdělávací a komunitní centrum pro 250–400 žáků z místní komunity i okolních oblastí. Areál má kromě výuky poskytovat také zázemí pro praktické vzdělávání, stravování, ubytování a komunitní aktivity. Projekt je realizován s důrazem na jednoduchost výstavby, využití místních materiálů a stavebních tradic a přímé zapojení místních obyvatel do výstavby školy. Urbanistická koncepce školního areálu vychází z principů fraktální geometrie a je inspirována prostorovým uspořádáním tradičních afrických sídel, zejména vesnice Ba-ila. Návrh je založen na hierarchickém rozmístění funkcí v koncentrických pentagonálních prstencích, které umožňují přehlednou orientaci, plynulý pohyb a přirozené vztahy mezi jednotlivými částmi areálu. Každý objekt má svou vlastní identitu, přesto tvoří součást jednoho harmonického celku. V návrhu se tak propojuje funkčnost, estetika a ohleduplnost ke klimatu i kultuře místa. The subject proposal is for a secondary school campus in the Kashitu area of Zambia, which lacks any downstream educational infrastructure for pupils leaving primary school within a 40 km radius. The purpose of the building is to create an educational and community centre for 250-400 pupils from the local community and surrounding areas. The campus is to provide facilities for practical education, catering, accommodation and community activities in addition to teaching. The project is being implemented with an emphasis on simplicity of construction, the use of local materials and building traditions and the direct involvement of local residents in the construction of the school. The urban design of the school campus is based on the principles of fractal geometry and is inspired by the spatial layout of traditional African settlements, particularly the village of Ba-ila. The design is based on a hierarchical arrangement of functions in concentric pentagonal rings that allow for clear orientation, fluid movement and natural relationships between the different parts of the campus. Each building has its own identity, yet forms part of a harmonious whole. The design thus combines functionality, aesthetics and respect for the climate and culture of the site.
