Cílem studie bylo vyhodnotit možnosti použití termické analýzy (TA) při posuzování legovaných litin SiMo5–1 a Ni-Resist D-5S, vhodné pro vysokoteplotní aplikace. Pomocí TA byly stanoveny hodnoty uhlíkového ekvivalentu (CE), predikce mikrostruktury a zaznamenán vliv modifikace. Experiment zahrnoval čtyři vzorky SiMo, čtyři Ni-Resistu a jednu referenční nelegovanou GJS400. Vzorky byly odlity do TA kelímku se čtvercovým průřezem a křivky chladnutí byly zaznamenány standardní měřící sestavou ATAS Metstar. Výsledné závisloti teploty na čase SiMo litin se od běžných LKG liší hlavně zakončením 1. derivace, kde je úhel GRF2 dvounásobný, což indikuje vyšší riziko pórovitosti. Naproti tomu u Ni-Resistu nebylo možné spočítat parametry metalurgické kvality R, GRF1 a GRF2, kvůli absenci bodu eutektické teploty TEhigh a pozvolnému průběhu chladnutí. Charakteristika křivek tuhnutí obou litin odpovídá grafitické povaze, s eutektickou prodlevou kolem teploty Tst. Součástí práce bylo porovnání výstupů optické emisní spektrometrie (OES) a TA pro výpočet CE. Metoda TA byla vyhodnocena jako vhodná pro určení složení slitiny GJS400, ale nedostatečná pro SiMo a Ni-Resist. Důvodem je nastavení rovnic, které nezahrnuje vliv legujících prvků. Metalografií byla potvrzena očekávaná struktura zkoumaných materiálů, aby byly křivky zařazeny jako referenční. V průběhu pořizování výbrusů byla u SiMo zjištěna vyšší pórovitost, kterou předpověděl parametr GRF2. Výsledky naznačují potřebu úpravy rovnic TA pro zkoumané materiály, rovněž je potřeba větší počet měření.
The aim of the study was to evaluate the applicability of thermal analysis (TA) for assessment of alloyed cast irons SiMo5–1 and Ni-Resist D-5S, used for high-temperature applications. TA was used to establish the carbon equivalent (CE), to predict the microstructure and to record the effect of modification. The experiment was made up of four samples of SiMo, four of Ni-Resist and one reference unalloyed GJS400, cast into square cups following standard ATAS Metstar device setup. The resulting curves of the SiMo samples exhibited distinct differences from unalloyed iron, mainly on the end part of the first derivative, where the GRF2 factor is measured, where it ended up being double that of the reference, indicating a higher risk of porosity. For Ni-Resist, due to the very calm progression and the lack of the TEhigh temperature point, prevented the calculation of standard melt quality parameters R, GRF1, GRF2. Thanks to the stable eutectic arrest temperature Tst, it was found that both cast irons underwent the stable transformation. An emphasis was held for comparing the CE results of optical emission spectrometry (OES) and TA. Whilst TA was found adequate for determining the CE contents of GJS400, same cannot be said for SiMo or Ni-Resist. This is due to the equations not including the influence of alloying elements. A metalographical study was conducted to confirm the identity of the correct microstructure and to allow the results to be used as a basis for dataset construction. During the preparation, it was found that the SiMo sample exhibited an unusually high porosity, adding weight to the claim that the GRF2 indicator was correct. The end results outline a need for correction of the TA equations for the examined materials. As a prerequisite it is detrimental to conduct a higher number of measurement samples.
