Teoretická část popisuje základní principy šíření světla, rozložení energie Gaussovského svazku a povahu turbulence, včetně Kolmogorovova modelu. Praktická část zahrnuje numerickou simulaci šíření svazku v prostředí MATLAB pomocí metody split-step Fourier a generování fázových obrazovek.
This thesis focuses on the propagation of a Gaussian optical beam in atmospheric conditions, with particular emphasis on the influence of atmospheric turbulence on the quality and reliability of optical transmission. The theoretical part describes the basic principles of light propagation, the energy distribution of a Gaussian beam, and the nature of turbulence, including the Kolmogorov model. The practical part includes a numerical simulation of beam propagation in a MATLAB environment using the split-step Fourier method and the generation of phase screens. A graphical interface was developed to allow users to define beam parameters and atmospheric conditions interactively. The simulation results provide a detailed analysis of the effects of turbulence on intensity, divergence, and the beam profile. To verify the accuracy of the model, the simulation was experimentally validated using real laser beam measurements under real atmospheric conditions. The measured results confirmed the predicted beam deformation and intensity loss due to turbulence, demonstrating the reliability of the simulation for practical optical system analysis.
