Vo svojej bakalárskej práci nadväzujem aj na témy, ktoré ma dlhodobo sprevádzajú – vnútorný konflikt, osobné očakávania, napätie voči autorite a frustrácia, ktorá z nich vyplýva. Zároveň nadväzujem na vizuálny jazyk a prístup ku kresbe, ktorými som sa zaoberal vo svojej predchádzajúcej tvorbe. V tomto celku sa zameriavam na spomienky z detstva ktoré ma ovplyvnili a formovali, no ktoré som často chápal úplne inak, než ako ich vnímam dnes. Dôležitým aspektom mojej práce je kontrast medzi svetom minulosti, z ktorého tieto spomienky pochádzajú, a mojou súčasnou osobnosťou. V kresbách sa tak stretáva detská naivita s dospelou reflexiou, individuálne zážitky s kolektívnou skúsenosťou generácie. Pokračujem v práci s médiom kresby, ktoré ma fascinuje schopnosťou niesť komplexný význam aj skrz jednoduché prevedenie. V tomto celku sa posúvam do väčších formátov a snažím sa so svojim prevedením narábať tak, aby kresba nadobudla váhu a vizuálnu prítomnosť blízku maľbe. In my bachelor’s thesis, I build upon themes that have accompanied me for a long time – inner conflict, personal expectations, tension towards authority, and the frustration that stems from them. At the same time, I continue developing the visual language and approach to drawing that I explored in my previous work. In this body of work, I focus on childhood memories that influenced and shaped me, yet which I often understood very differently from how I perceive them today. An important aspect of my work is the contrast between the world of the past, from which these memories originate, and my current self. In the drawings, childlike naivety meets adult reflection, and individual experiences intersect with the collective experience of a generation. I continue to work with the medium of drawing, which fascinates me with its ability to carry complex meaning even through simple execution. In this series, I move towards larger formats and strive to treat the drawing in a way that gives it the weight and visual presence close to that of painting.
