Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá postavením žen v profesi zdravotnického záchranáře v kontextu českého zdravotnického systému. Cílem práce je analyzovat zkušenosti žen v této profesi, zmapovat hlavní výzvy, kterým čelí, a poukázat na specifické faktory, které jim umožňují uspět v tradičně mužském oboru. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny klíčové pojmy týkající se zdravotnické záchranné služby, role zdravotnického záchranáře a genderových aspektů ve zdravotnictví. Dále je popsán historický vývoj zapojení žen do této oblasti a současné trendy v jejich zastoupení. Empirická část práce vychází z kvalitativního výzkumu realizovaného formou rozhovorů se zdravotnickými záchranáři a záchranářkami. Výsledky ukazují, že i přes rostoucí podíl žen v této profesi zůstávají přítomné určité fyzické a sociální bariéry, ale zároveň se potvrzuje přínos ženských specifik jako jsou komunikační dovednosti či odolnost vůči stresu. Práce přináší doporučení pro zlepšení pracovních podmínek žen a podporu genderové rovnosti ve zdravotnické záchranné službě. This bachelor thesis focuses on the role of women in the position of paramedics and examines their position in the context of the Czech healthcare system. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the basic concepts related to the paramedic service, the role of the paramedic and gender aspects in the healthcare system. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the historical development of women's involvement in this professional sphere and on current trends in the representation of women among paramedics. The empirical part of the thesis includes research conducted through interviews among paramedics, identifying how women are perceived in the profession, what challenges and barriers they face, and what are the specific advantages that enable women to succeed in this position. The results show an increasing proportion of women among paramedics, with women facing specific challenges related to the physical demands of the profession and preconceived perceptions of their abilities in a traditionally male-dominated sector. This paper contributes to a deeper understanding of the gender dynamics in the paramedic profession and provides recommendations for improving the working environment and conditions for women in the profession.
