Úkolem této bakalářské práce bylo zpracovat literární rešerši, v níž jsou shrnuty poznatky o vybraných dědičných chorobách, které postihují arabské plnokrevníky. V úvodu je stručně popsán původ koně a také zajímavá historie arabského plnokrevníka. Následuje popis genomu koně a zákonitosti dědičnosti chorob. Stěžejní část práce tvoří přehled dostupných informací týkající se vybraných dědičných chorob. U každé choroby je podána celková informace o charakteristice nemoci o její příčině, projevech, příznacích a u některých i o možné léčbě. V závěru je shrnuta situace týkající se stavu testování koní v České republice i ve světě. Význam této práce spočívá především v propojení a zpřehlednění dosud roztříštěných dat, čímž přispívá k hlubšímu porozumění genetickým rizikům a jejich dopadu na zdraví arabských plnokrevníků. The task of this bachelor's thesis was to prepare a literature search, which summarizes the knowledge about selected hereditary diseases that affect Arabian thoroughbreds. The introduction briefly describes the origin of the horse and also the interesting history of the Arabian thoroughbred. This is followed by a description of the horse genome and the laws of inheritance of diseases. The main part of the thesis is an overview of available information regarding selected hereditary diseases. For each disease, general information is given about the characteristics of the disease, its cause, manifestations, symptoms and, for some, even about possible treatment. The conclusion summarizes the situation regarding the state of horse testing in the Czech Republic and in the world. The significance of this work lies primarily in connecting and clarifying the previously fragmented data, thereby contributing to a deeper understanding of genetic risks and their impact on the health of Arabian thoroughbreds.
