cze Abstract:
The thesis deals with the concept of slow fashion as a sustainable alternative. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the demand and supply of slow fashion on the Czech market and to assess its contribution to the achievement of sustainable development goals. The theoretical part of the thesis defines key concepts in the field of fashion and sustainability, compares the concept of Slow Fashion with the conventional Fast Fashion model and focuses on consumer behaviour and the situation in the Czech Republic. To meet the objectives, the practical part includes a quantitative questionnaire survey focused on the attitudes, awareness and purchasing behaviour of Czech consumers and a qualitative interview with representatives of a Czech project and brand in the field of Slow Fashion. The data were analysed using basic descriptive statistics, Pearson chi-square test and Spearman's correlation coefficient. The results show that despite the growing interest in sustainable fashion, barriers such as high cost, lack of awareness and limited availability persist. The paper makes recommendations for brands and consumer education and highlights the importance of slow fashion for responsible consumption.
