Budova bývalého hotelu Podhoran, ktorá si od 70. rokov prešla rokmi slávy i búrlivými štádiami sa dostala do rúk mesta, ktoré jej hľadá novú podobu. Exponovaná poloha na nároží námestia prináša potenciál pre vznik živého reprezentatívneho objektu reflektujúceho potreby mesta. Návrh pretvára súčasnú uzavretú štruktúru a vytvára nový kontakt medzi Podhoranom a verejný dianím. Priestorová kompozícia pracuje s ustúpením hmoty a novým hlavným vstupom oproti kostolu. Sprístupnené je komorné átrium s multifunkčnou sálou vynášajúcou pobytovú terasu. Zo strechy budovy sa stáva nový verejný priestor s hodnotnými výhľadmi. Vzhľadom na veľkosť budovy sa hmotové členenie opiera o princíp etapizácie. Objekt je funkčne rozdelený na dva celky. Okrem nových priestorov mestského úradu a gastro prevádzky, ponúka medzigeneračné priestory denného stacionára, detskej skupiny a coworkingu. Dispozičné členenie rozvíja možnosť zdieľaných priestorov na rozhraní rôznych funkcií, čím zvyšuje využiteľnosť objektu. The building of the former Podhoran Hotel, which has experienced both periods of glory and turbulent times since the 1970s, has now become the property of the city, which is seeking a new vision for it. Its prominent location on the corner of the square offers the potential for a vibrant, representative building that reflects the evolving needs of the city. The proposal transforms the currently enclosed structure into an open and accessible space, connected to the surrounding public areas on all sides. The new main entrance faces the church, while an intimate atrium offers a new multifunctional space. The rooftop is redesigned as a public terrace offering panoramic views. Given the scale of the building, the design follows a phased approach. It is functionally divided into two main units. In addition to the new municipal office and restaurant, the building incorporates intergenerational spaces, including a day care centre for both seniors and children, as well as a coworking area. The layout encourages the sharing of spaces at the intersections of different functions, thereby enhancing the overall usability of the building.
