Morfologie, struktura a složení deponovaných povlaků byly zkoumány pomocí rastrovací elektronové mikroskopie (SEM), energiově disperzní spektroskopie (EDS) a rentgenovou difrakční spektroskopií (XRD).
The aim of this diploma thesis was to synthesize MgFe-LDH coatings as a potential corrosion protection for Mg substrates. The theoretical part deals with magnesium and its alloys that can be used not only in biomedicine. Subsequently, the corrosion of Mg substrates and the possibilities of surface treatments in the field of biomedical applications are described, with a focus on coatings based on layered double hydroxides (LDH). These coatings and methods of their preparation are also discussed. The theoretical part concludes with an overview of the studied MgFe-LDH coatings and the parameters of their preparation. In the experimental part, the conditions for the two-step synthesis of MgFe-LDH coatings were studied. In the first step, the influence of pretreatment, followed by the temperature and synthesis time of the precursor FeOOH layer, was studied. In the second step, the influence of process parameters on the quality of the coating was investigated. The morphology, structure, andcomposition of the deposited coatings were examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD). Based on these analyses, the quality of the coatings was evaluated. Based on the results, areaction time of 3 h and laboratory temperature appeared to be the optimal conditions for the synthesis of the FeOOH layer. For the second step, the optimal conditions were selected: 0.1M concentration of Mg(NO3)2 and a synthesis time of 12 h at pH 10 under hydrothermal conditions. Corrosion resistance was investigated using potentiodynamic tests in Hank's solution. Based on the measurements, there was a significant improvement in corrosion properties compared to the uncoated AZ31 alloy, with a decrease icorr from the original 0.636 Acm-2 to 0.14 Acm-2.
