cze Abstract:
This diploma thesis focuses on the issue of fraudulent websites, which represent one of the most widespread forms of cyber threats targeting everyday users. It specifically addresses phishing pages, fake online stores, and verification forms that exploit user trust to obtain sensitive data, such as login credentials or payment information. The theoretical part of the thesis includes a literature review focused on social engineering techniques, as well as the visual and linguistic elements commonly used in the creation of fraudulent websites. It also discusses current trends in digital security and the methods attackers use to make their sites appear trustworthy, such as mimicking the identity of well-known brands or using manipulative language. The practical part introduces an original methodology for identifying fraudulent websites, which combines technical, textual, and visual indicators. The methodology is based on a multi-level scoring system and has been tested on a real-world sample of websites. The results are compared with the outputs of online tools and reputation databases, such as PhishTank, URLVoid, and VirusTotal. Finally, the thesis discusses practical applications of the proposed methodology in the areas of prevention, awareness, and the enhancement of digital literacy among general internet users.
