Diplomová práce se zabývá vztahem člověka k městu skrze chůzi, vnímání a drobné architektonické zásahy. Co se stane, když zpomalíme a začneme se dívat jinak? Když opustíme hlavní trasy a necháme se vést zvědavostí, tichem, nečekanou krásou všedních míst? Práce vychází z principů environmentální psychologie, konceptu place attachment a zkoumá vliv choditelnosti a vědomého pobývání na vztah k městskému prostoru.
The diploma thesis explores the relationship between people and the urban environemnt through walking, perception, and subtle architectural interventions. What happens when we slow down and begin to see differently? When we leave the main paths behind and let ourselves be guided by curiosity, silence, and the unexpected beauty of everyday places? The thesis is grounded in the principles of environmental psychology and the concept of place attachment, examining how walkability and mindful presence influence our emotional connection to urban space. The proposed interventions form a gentle form of “urban acupuncture” – a system of subtle yet meaningful interventions that have the potential to revive overlooked places and reconnect them with those who pass through. The city is approached as an everyday environment that shapes our experience and inner world. Through regular walks across Brno, a series of small-scale architectural interventions emerges, each responding to a specific site and its atmosphere. The goal is not to change the space, but to highlight its qualities and offer opportunities for pause, perception, and presence.
