Dále studuje změny fyzikálně-chemických charakteristik v důsledku aktivace biouhlu během pyrolýzy pomocí organických draselných solí a post-pyrolýzní aktivace.
This master’s thesis focuses on the influence of pyrolysis conditions and post-pyrolysis activation on the physico-chemical characteristics of biochar. It describes the changes in biochar depending on the source biomass (corn, wood) and the effect of pyrolysis temperature (400, 500 and 600 °C). Furthermore, it examines changes in the physico-chemical characteristics resulting from biochar activation during pyrolysis using organic potassium salts and from post-pyrolysis activation. The theoretical part outlines the methods of biochar modification, the influence of pyrolysis parametres, and the feedstock on the physico-chemical characteristics of biochar. Experimental results show that higher temperatures lead to a lower organic content and an increase in inorganic ash. Higher temperatures also resulted in higher specific surface area values as determined by BET method. Post-pyrolysis activation and activation during pyrolysis had a positive effect on increasing the specific surface area values. Finally, the results were discussed in the context of meeting the criteria for EBC certification for the use of biochar in agriculture.
