Disertační práce se zaměřuje na to, jakým způsobem zasáhly a zasahují technologické inovace ve fotografii do práce českých sportovních fotografů. Práce zkoumá pracovní rutiny sportovních fotografů v analogové době, během příchodu digitální fotografie a po přechodu na digitální fotografii včetně nejnovějších inovací v podobě nástupu bezzrcadlových fotoaparátů. V teoretické části se zaměřuje na aspekty techniky, obrazu a profese. Zabývá se nástupem digitální fotografie, jejími specifiky a jejím vývojem v profesionální fotografii. Dále přibližuje různé aspekty sportovní fotografie, zaměřuje se na jednotlivé podžánry a představuje problémy, které souvisí se sportovní fotografií. V analytické části na základě rozhovorů s českými sportovními fotografy a obrazové analýzy fotografií práce předkládá pohled na jejich práci v médiích, v tiskových agenturách a na volné noze. Jejich zkušenosti jsou ilustrovány konkrétními snímky. Na základě těchto poznatků práce přichází se zjištěními, které technologické inovace a jakým způsobem zasáhly v největší míře do české sportovní fotografie. Z hlediska fotografické techniky to jsou především automatizované systémy ve fotoaparátech a zvyšující se kvalita fotografických přístrojů, které usnadňují práci sportovních fotografů tak, že mají větší prostor pro samotnou... The dissertation focuses on how technological innovations in photography have affected the work of Czech sports photographers. The dissertation examines the work routines of sports photographers in the analogue era, during the rise of digital photography and after the full transition to digital photography, including the latest innovations like mirrorless cameras. The theoretical part focuses on aspects of technology, visuality and profession of sports photographers. It covers the advent of digital photography, its specifics and its development in professional photography. It also introduces the various aspects of sports photography, focuses on the different sub-genres and presents the problems related to sports photography. In the analytical part, based on interviews with Czech sports photographers and visual analysis of their photographs, the dissertation presents an overview of their work in the media, in wire services and as freelance photographers. Their experiences are illustrated with specific images. Based on these findings, the dissertation comes up with conclusions which technological innovations have affected Czech sports photography and in what way.
