Disertační práce je věnována tématu poruch polykání u seniorů v následné péči v kontextu logopedické intervence. Práce zahrnuje část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část práce sestává z pěti na sebe navazujících kapitol věnovaných anatomii a fyziologii polykacího aktu, poruchám polykání z hlediska jejich etiologie, symptomatologie, diagnostiky, terapie a specifikům poruch polykání ve stáří. Empirická část práce je složena ze čtyř kapitol, které podrobně seznamují s realizovaným předvýzkumem, hlavním výzkumem a s jejich výsledky. Hlavním cílem výzkumu bylo podat ucelený obraz poruch polykání u pacientů v seniorském věku v prostředí lůžkové následné péče. Dílčí cíle výzkumu byly zaměřeny na zjištění základních diagnóz a faktorů ovlivňujících poruchy polykání u seniorů a také na zjištění, které terapeutické techniky se u seniorů nejvíce osvědčují. Dalším dílčím cílem bylo zjistit, zda jsou dysfagie u seniorů diagnostikovány již v akutní fázi onemocnění. Ve vztahu k cílům práce a v návaznosti na studium odborných zdrojů byly formulovány výzkumné hypotézy. Pro naplnění hlavního i dílčích cílů výzkumu a ověření hypotéz byl zvolen kvantitativní výzkumný design založený na analýze zdravotní dokumentace a klinicko-logopedickém vyšetření polykání seniorů s poruchou polykání hospitalizovaných na oddělení... The dissertation thesis is devoted to the topic of swallowing disorders in the elderly in aftercare in the context of speech therapy intervention. The thesis includes theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of five consecutive chapters devoted to the anatomy and physiology of the act of swallowing, swallowing disorders in terms of their etiology, symptomatology, diagnostics, therapy and specifics of swallowing disorders in the elderly. The empirical part of the thesis is composed of four chapters, presenting in detail the conducted preliminary research, the main research and the results. The main aim of the research was to provide a comprehensive picture of swallowing disorders in elderly patients in an inpatient aftercare setting. The subobjectives of the research were aimed at identifying the underlying diagnoses and factors influencing swallowing disorders in the elderly, as well as identifying which therapeutic techniques are most effective in the elderly. Another subobjective was to determine whether dysphagia in the elderly is diagnosed in the acute phase of the disease.
