Abstract: The main focus of this work is to show simulation capabilities of open-source FEM program ELMER. In this case the simulated electromagnetic model is three-phase induction machine which is solved with time-harmonic analysis. The results of simulation are afterwards compared to time-stepping analysis and measurements of real induction machine with same properties and disscused in the end. The desired results of this work is to show ELMER as a possible replacement for paid simulation programs.
