Diplomová práce se zabývá hospodařením Hlavního města Prahy a šesti vybraných statutárních měst. Práce je členěna na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na obecný rámec fungování obcí, strukturu rozpočtů municipalit, jejich příjmy a výdaje, a problematiku zadlužení municipalit. Praktická část práce poskytuje srovnávací analýzu hospodaření vybraných měst, konkrétně Prahy, Brna, Ostravy, Olomouce, Ústí nad Labem, Jihlavy a Karlových Varů. V této části jsou podrobeny analýze rozpočty těchto měst v období let 2019–2023. The thesis examines the financial management of the Capital City of Prague and six selected statutory cities. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the general framework of municipal operations, the structure of municipal budgets, their revenues and expenditures, and the issue of municipal debt. The practical part provides a comparative analysis of the financial management of selected cities, specifically Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Olomouc, Ústí nad Labem, Jihlava, and Karlovy Vary. This section analyzes the budgets of these cities for the period 2019–2023.
