Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá aktuální problematikou vztahů Velké Británie k evropské integraci. V práci jsou popsány historické souvislosti od období před druhou světovou válkou do současnosti. Následuje zachycení snahy Británie o integraci z důvodu ekonomické nestability země a nízkého vlivu země na Evropském kontinentu. Pro členství v Evropské unii si Británie v minulosti vyjednala trvalé výjimky, které však pro zemi nejsou dostačující a tak přichází návrh veřejného referenda o setrvání Spojeného království v Evropské unii. Po parlamentních volbách v roce 2015 dochází vlivem výsledku voleb, vítězstvím Konzervativců, k vyhlášení referenda. Další podkapitola popisuje vývoj postoje politických stran a veřejnosti k brexitu, dále pak výsledky samotného referenda. V neposlední řadě se tato práce věnuje hlavním příčinám brexitu, jako jsou migrace, euroskepticismus a ztráta státní suverenity. Závěrem, tato práce zkoumá proces vystoupení Velké Británie z EU a další alternativní možnosti vztahů Británie k Evropské unii, na příkladu modelů konkrétních zemí, které nejsou členy EU. This bachelor´s thesis is dealing with the current issue of the relations of Great Britain to European integration. The thesis describes the historical context from the time before the Second World War to the presence. The next issue pursues Britain´s integration, because of the instability of economic of this country and the country´s low influence on the European continent. After entering to the European Union, the UK negotiated permanent exceptions that are not sufficient for the country, and so there is a proposal for a public referendum if the UK continues in membership in the European Union. After the 2015 parliamentary elections, as the result of the elections, victory of Conservatives, is a referendum. The following subchapter describes the development of the attitude of political parties and the public towards Brexit and also the results of this referendum. Further more this bachelor thesis is dealing with the main causes of Brexit, what is migration, Euroscepticism and loss of sovereignty. In conclusion I’m exploring the process of Britain’s exit from European Union.
