This bachelor thesis deals with the problematic relationship between Turkey and the Kurdish minority, namely the Kurdistan Worker’s Party. In my thesis, I deal with the history and of the Kurds, which is important for understanding the development of this relationship. Furthermore, the thesis is also focused on the policy of Turkey and political activities of the Kurds, connected with the development of the Kurdistan Worker’s Party. The thesis also highlights Turkey’s socio-economic goals in relation to the Kurdish minority. Finally, the most important part is the peace negotiations themselves between the Kurdistan Worker’s Party and Turkey and the associated problem in Syria, which complicates these negotiations. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem mezi Tureckem a Kurdskou menšinou, konkrétně tedy Kurdskou stranou pracujících. V práci se zabývám historií Kurdů, která je důležitá pro pochopení vývoje vzájemných vztahů. Dále je práce také zaměřena na politiku Turecka a politickou aktivitu Kurdů, spojená s vývojem Kurdské strany pracujících. Práce také poukazuje na socio-ekonomické cíle Turecka ve vztahu ke Kurdské menšině. V neposlední řadě nejdůležitější část je samotné mírové vyjednávání mezi PKK a Tureckem a s ním spojený problém v Sýrii, který tyto vyjednávání komplikuje.
