Úvod diplomové práce tvoří literární přehled, jehož obsah je obecně zaměřen na tepelnou modifikaci. Komplexně shrnuje informace o její historii, možnostech provedení a dopadech na ošetřený materiál z hlediska chemických, fyzikálních a mechanických změn. Úvodní přehled uvádí i souhrnné informace o zkoumané dřevině buku lesního (Fagus sylvatica L.). Shrnutí problematiky vytváří podklad pro praktickou část práce, která je zaměřena na kontaktní, vysokoteplotní úpravu zkoumaných vzorků, která má za účel dosáhnout v průřezu nerovnoměrné modifikace. Ošetřené vzorky byly podrobeny řadě zkoušek a chemické analýze. Získané výsledky byly následně vyhodnoceny a na závěr diskutovány. The introduction of the thesis consists of a review of literature about thermal modification of wood. More precisely, the author presents history, possible ways of treatments and the impacts on the treated material from the point of view of chemical, physical and mechanical changes. The introduction of the thesis describes the main subject of the research European Beech (Fagus sylvatica L.). The practical part of the work focuses on a contact high-temperature treatment of the samples. It is intended to achieve in the cross-section uneven modification. The treated samples were chemically analyzed. Finally, the results are evaluated and discussed.
