cze Abstract:
Byla měřena výška, šířka a délka jehlice, LMA (leaf mass per area – specifická sušina listoví), dále plocha xylému, floému a stélé a taky průměry kmenů zkoumaných stromů. Výsledky výšky a šířky jehlice, plochy stélé a průměru kmene vyšly větší pro monokulturu, výsledky LMA, plochy xylému a floému, délky jehlice vyšly bez statisticky významného rozdílu, avšak jehlice byly mírně delší u smíšených porostů. Mixed stands may show a better ability to withstand today's rapid climate change. Although trees in mixed stands can be competitive, what could make them stronger and more resilient. The effect of mixing stands with Scots pine is shown in this study, which examines the anatomical and morphological structure of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.). Most of the results of the tested parameters came out with larger dimensions for needles in monoculture. On the other hand, the needle length parameter turned out to be slightly larger in mixed stands, but this result is not statistically significant. The area of xylem and the area of phloem weren’t different between monoculture and mixed stands. On the other hand, with increasing needle dimensions, the xylem area grew more in mixed stands than in monocultures. This can be influenced by the diameter of the tracheids in the xylem, where in single-species stands the tracheids can be larger in diameter and thus there is a better hydraulic conductivity of the tracheids than in smaller diameter tracheids in the mixture. The diameters of the measured trees were larger in single-species stands. This may be related to the fact that even needles in a single-species stand are larger and can thus produce more assimilates to build their body during photosynthesis. Water, which was more in monocultures, probably also plays an important role in this. The results showed that the species composition of the stand has an effect on the anatomical and morphological structure of the assimilation apparatus. However, more positive results were obtained for monocultures, which are more productive from an economic point of view. However, this does not mean that they are more resilient to climate change.
