Cílem této bakalářské práce je prezentování vlivu severoamerického embarga na kubánské zdravotnictví během pandemie COVID-19. Úvodní část práce je zaměřena na popis historického kontextu od počátku dvacátého století po současnost. V podkapitolách jsou uvedeny souvislosti spojené s vývojem embarga a vývojem kubánsko-amerických vztahů. Dále je popsáno, jaká byla úroveň zdravotnictví před kubánskou revolucí a jak se zdravotnictví změnilo po revoluci. Součástí těchto kapitol je vysvětlení role zdravotnictví v době revoluce, popis struktury kubánského zdravotního systému a dalších témat spojených s kubánským zdravotnictvím. Hlavní část práce se soustředí na prezentování důsledků embarga na kubánské zdravotnictví v období pandemie COVID-19. The aim of this bachelor thesis is a presentation of the impact of the US embargo on Cuban health care during the COVID-19 pandemic. The introduction is focused on the historical context from the beginning of the twentieth century until present. The subchapters present context associated with the development of the embargo and the development of Cuban-American relations. It also describes the level of health care before the Cuban revolution and how healthcare changed after the revolution. Part of the chapters is an explanation of the role of health care during the revolution, a description of the structure of the Cuban health system, and other topics related to Cuban health care. The main part of the work is focused on the consequences of the embargo on the Cuban healthcare system during the COVID-19 pandemic.
