Diplomová práce se zabývá současným stavem a rozvojem cestovního ruchu ve Střední Asii. Region využívá pouze část svého turistického potenciálu, a proto práce identifikuje hlavní překážky a problémy, které jsou zároveň hlavními důvody bránící rozvoji cestovního ruchu. Analytická část se zabývá samotným regionem Střední Asie a jeho cestovním ruchem a popisuje zejména ekonomický sektor tohoto odvětví, jeho stav a velikost. Dále práce zpracovává a vyhodnocuje rozhovory provedené v Kyrgyzstánu ve městě Oš a ve venkovské části země (oblast Pamíru). Cílem rozhovorů bylo zjistit současný postoj místních obyvatel k odvětví cestovního ruchu v jejich zemi, ze kterých vyplývá pozitivní názor obyvatel na zkoumanou problematiku. This diploma thesis deals with current state and development of tourism in Central Asia. The region uses only part of its tourist potential, therefore this diploma thesis identifies the main obstacles and problems, which are also the main reasons hindering the development of tourism. Analytical part examines the region of Central Asia and its tourism and describes mainly the economic part of this sector, its condition and size. Furthermore, the work processes and evaluates interviews conducted in Kyrgyzstan in the city of Osh and in the rural part of the country (Pamir area). The aim of the interviews was to find out the current attitude of the local population to the tourism sector in their country, which shows a positive opinion of the population on the researched issues.
