Diplomová práce s názvem: „Interiérové rostliny v životním prostoru člověka za 1. Československé republiky“ se nejprve snaží čtenáře seznámit s architektonickým prostorem, charakteristikou doby první republiky, architekturou dvacátého století v kontextu historického vývoje. Jedná se o slohy, které byly spojené s rozmachem vývoje oborů a věd na přelomu 19. a 20. století. Secese, která jako první přináší odmítá historismus, po ní individualistická moderna, kubismus a jeho transformace v tzv. národní sloh, jeho synonymem je rondokubismus nebo praktický konstruktivismus a funkcionalismus. Dále práce zahrnuje obecné informace k interiérovým rostlinám, významu a funkci jejich pěstování. Dalším krokem bylo vyhledat odbornou dobovou literaturu a z ní interpretovat informace o sortimentu rostlin pěstovaných v předmětné době. Výsledky práce jsou rozděleny do dvou částí. Tou první je zpracování modelového sortimentu, který se v době první republiky používal a je řazen do tabulek. Tabulky jsou rozděleny do čtyř pěstitelských skupin: interiérové rostliny okrasné listem nebo květem, palmy, kapradiny a skupina sukulentů a kaktusů. Druhá část se zabývá návrhem ozelenění modelového objektu, pro který byla vybrána Čapkova vila na pražských Vinohradech do fáze realizace. The diploma thesis entitled "Interior plants in the living space of human during the First Czechoslovak Republic" first tries to acquaint the reader with the architectural space, the characteristics of the First Republic, the architecture of the twentieth century in the context of historical development. These are styles that were associated with the expansion of the development of disciplines and sciences at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The Art Nouveau, which brings the first rejection of historicism, followed by individualistic modernism, Cubism and its transformation into the so-called national style, its synonym is Rondo Cubism or practical constructivism and functionalism. Furthermore, the work includes general information about indoor plants, the importance and function of their cultivation. The next step was to search for professional period literature and interpret information about the range of plants grown in the time in question. The results of the work are divided into two parts. The first is the elaboration of the model assortment of the interior plant, which was used during the First Republic and is arranged in tables. These are divided into four growing groups: indoor plants with an ornamental leaf or flower, palm trees, ferns and a group of succulents and cacti. The second part deals with the design of the greenery of the model building to the implementation phase. The author chose the villa of the Czech writer Karel Čapek, which is located in a part of Prague called Vinohrady.
