V bakalářské práci je zpracováno téma vzdělávání žáků s mentálním postižením na střední odborné škole. Cílem teoretické části je definovat pojmy mentální postižení a mentální retardace, popsat klasifikaci mentálního postižení dle jeho stupňů. Dále jsou v této práci popsány možnosti středoškolského vzdělávání žáků s mentálním postižením. Je zde zmíněna a definována role asistenta pedagoga, pracovníka v sociálních službách a možnosti zaměstnání vyučených studentů s mentální retardací. Také jsou zde uvedeny možnosti spolupráce s poradenskými zařízeními a případně s ústavními institucemi. Metodami použitými pro zpracovávání teoretické části je studium odborných literárních a internetových zdrojů, legislativy a zákonů, jejich analýza a syntéza. Cílem praktické části je zjistit od pedagogů jakému, studijnímu programu žáci s mentálním postižením dávají přednost, zda využívají didaktické pomůcky při výuce, zda mají možnost využít pomoc asistenta pedagoga. Dále bylo zjišťováno, zda mají možnosti dalšího vzdělávání, kurzů a školení. Také se zjišťovalo, jak se uplatní žáci na trhu práce a jaké mají v tomto směru možnosti, případně, zda odchází do ústavní péče. The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of education of pupils with mental disabilities at a secondary vocational school. The aim of the theoretical part is to define the concepts of mental disability and mental retardation, to describe the classification of mental disability according to its degrees. Furthermore, this work describes the possibilities of secondary education for students with mental disabilities. It describes and defines the role of a teaching assistant, a worker in social services and employment opportunities for trained students with mental retardation. The possibilities of counseling facilities or placement in institutional care are also listed here. The methods used for the elaboration of the theoretical part are the study of professional literary and Internet sources, legislation and laws, their analysis and synthesis. The aim of the practical part is to find out which study program pupils with mental disabilities prefer, whether they use didactic aids in teaching, whether they have the opportunity to use the help of a teaching assistant. Furthermore, find out if they have opportunities for further education, courses, training. Part of the practical part is the entry of students into employment or an institution.
