Bakalářská práce se zabývá rolí Evropského parlamentu ve vztazích mezi Evropskou unií a Tureckem. Cílem práce je analýza textů a dokumentů, které publikuje parlament nebo některý z jeho výborů a jak se tato stanoviska promítají na postojích EU vůči Turecku. Práce rozvádí podstatu parlamentu, tj. funkce a strukturu a jejich dopady na Společnou zahraniční a bezpečnostní politiku (dále SZBP), vnější vztahy a rozšiřování. Dále shrnuje dosavadní historický vývoj vztahů mezi oběma aktéry. V samostatné části pak probíhá analýza nejvýznamnějších dokumentů a textů zpracovaných výbory nebo dalšími institucemi, které udávají směr parlamentního stanoviska. V poslední části se práce věnuje konkrétní události, migrační krizi do Evropy, a činnosti parlamentu v jejím průběhu. Závěr práce pak klade důraz na to, jak se konkrétní činnost projevila na úrovni EU ve vztahu k Turecku. This bachelor thesis deals with the role of European Parliament in the relations between European Union and Turkey. The aim of the thesis is to analyze texts and documents published by parliament or one of its committees and how these opinions are reflected in the EU’s attitudes towards Turkey. The thesis disseminates the essence of parliament, i. e. its fiction and structure and its impact on Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), external relations and enlargement. It also summarizes the historical development of relations between the two actors. The analysis of the most important documents and texts prepared by the committees or other parliament institutions, which indicates the direction of parliamentary opinion, takes place in a separate part. Thesis focuses on specific event, the migration crisis to Europe, and the activities of the parliament in its course, in the last part. The conclusion of the work then emphasizes how concrete action has taken place on at EU level in relation to Turkey.
