Bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou částí, teoretické a experimentální. V teoretické části se zabývám definicí a historií vědního oboru etologie, metodami etologického pozorování, dále významem chovu ovcí na území České republiky a ve světě, technikou chovu jehňat a etologickými projevy ovcí a jehňat. Experimentální část se skládá z výsledků etologického pozorování, vlastního etogramu novorozených mláďat a průměrným zhodnocením skupiny sedmi sledovaných jehňat. Mezi sledované životní projevy jehňat jsem zahrnula první pokus o vstanutí, délku jeho trvání, první vstanutí, první vyhledávací pohyby, první sání a jeho délku, první kálení, močení, hlasové projevy a očichávání podestýlky. Dále byla jehňata porovnávána z hlediska pořadí ve vrhu, z výsledků vyplývá, že pořadí jehňat ve vrhu nemá vliv na nástup životních projevů. První etologické vyjádření jehňat bylo formou hlasových projevů, většina jehňat se bečením projevila až po více než deseti sekundách od narození. Mezi jednotlivými jehňaty nebyl žádný velký rozdíl, skupina byla poměrně vyrovnaná. This bachelor thesis sustains of a theoretical part and an experimental part. In the theoretical part I deal with the definition and history of ethology and the methods of ethological observation, lamb breeding techniques and ethological manifestations of sheep and lamb. I describe how important sheep breeding is, both in Czechia and on an international level. The experimental part sustains of the results of my ethological observation, my own ethogram of newborn lambs and an averaged evaluation of a group of seven observed lambs. Into the first observed manifestations of life, I have included the first attempt to stand up and the length of this attempt, first signs of searching behavior, first breastfeeding and its length, first defecation, first urination, voice expressions and bedding sniffing. The lambs were compared according to the order of them in the litter. Results of this observation clearly state that the order of lambs in the litter has no impact on the appearance of the first manifestations of life. The lambs first ethological manifestation were their voice expressions, the majority of lambs used their voice expressions after more than 10 seconds after birth. There was no massive difference between the individuals, the observed group was well balanced.
