Rostoucí laický i vědecký zájem o terapeutické využití imperfektních plodnic rezavce šikmého (Inonotus obliquus) zvaných čaga s sebou přináší i odhalování dosud málo prozkoumané životní strategie této dřevní houby. Cílem této práce bylo, vedle tvorby souhrnného literárního přehledu o I. obliquus, nalézt specifika výskytu druhu na území ČR. S použitím databáze 251 nálezů plodnic a geobotanické mapy byla vyhodnocena 4 základní specifika výskytu rezavce šikmého na území ČR. Výrazně nejvíce nálezů pocházelo z vegetačního typu květnatých bučin. Byl zaznamenán i významný rozdíl v regionálním výskytu rezavce š. na Fagus sylvatica oproti ostatním hostitelům. Interest in the therapeutic use of imperfect fruiting bodies of the wood fungus Inonotus obliquus (known as Chaga) is growing rapidly, bringing more light into the life strategy of the fungus as well. In the first part of the work, a literary overview of I. obliquus is put together. The main task of the thesis is to find specifics of the fungus' occurrence in the Czech Republic. A database of 251 finding records was compared to a geobotanical map acknowledging 4 basic characteristics of I. obliquus occurrence in the Czech Republic. The most significant part of the findings comes from a vegetation type of Eutrophic beech forests. A distinctive difference in the regional occurrence of I. obliquus on Fagus sylvatica was found compared to other host trees.
