Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou etnika Mapuche s ohledem na proměny jeho postavení v chilské společnosti. Zvolena byla metoda literární rešerše. Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnotit vývoj chilské politiky v řešení dané problematiky od roku 1990 až po současnost. První část bude analyzovat vývoj postavení Mapuchů ve společnosti od konce autoritářského režimu, společně s politickými a společenskými změnami, které v tomto období nastaly. Dále se bude práce věnovat konfliktům, které způsobily ztrátu důvěry mezi chilským státem a obyvateli Mapuchi. V druhé části budou představeny změny posledních let. Pozornost bude věnovaná sociálním nepokojům, které vypukly v roce 2019 a mandátu současného chilského prezidenta Gabriela Borice. Dále budou představeny návrhy nové ústavy, které měly mimo jiné ukotvit domorodá práva. This bachelor's thesis explores the challenges faced by the Mapuche ethnicity in Chilean society and how their position has changed over time. The literary research method was used to achieve this goal. The thesis aims to evaluate the development of Chilean politics in addressing this issue from the 1990s to the present day. The first part of the thesis analyzes the position of Mapuche in society since the end of an authoritarian regime and what political and social changes have occurred during this period. Additionally, the thesis will focus on the conflicts that caused the loss of trust between the Mapuche people and the Chilean state. The second part of the thesis will present recent changes, including the social unrest that occurred in 2019 and the mandate of current Chilean President Gabriel Boric. The thesis will also present proposals for a new constitution that aims to enshrine indigenous rights, among other things.
