Vedoucí práce Ing. Ivo Zdráhal, Ph.D. Diplomová práce analyzuje intra-odvětvový obchod (IIT) a jeho intenzitu mezi ČR a EU27 v automobilovém průmyslu od roku 1999-2018. Cílem bylo identifikovat intenzitu intra-odvětvového obchodu mezi ČR a EU27 a sílu jednotlivých determinantů, které IIT formují. Výsledky práce poukazují na silné obchodní vazby mezi členskými státy v rámci automobilového průmyslu, k jejichž vysvětlení již nestačí aplikace teorie mezinárodního obchodu na základě komparativních výhod, ale je třeba zvážit teorie postavené na diferenciaci produktů a výnosech z rozsahu. Obchod v odvětví automobilového průmyslu mezi ČR a EU27 je tak spíše odrazem rozhodování vrcholového managementu automobilových firem. Jelikož je automobilový průmysl páteří ekonomik mnoha členských států EU, tak výsledky této práce navíc poukazují na skutečnost, že se dodavatelsko-odběratelské řetězce v tomto průmyslu koordinují nezávisle na Evropské unii a lze je považovat za nositele evropské integrace. The diploma thesis analyses intra-industry trade (IIT) and its intensity between the Czech Republic and the EU27 in the automotive industry throughout 1999-2018. The aim was to identify the intensity of intra-industry trade between the Czech Republic and the EU27 and as well as the strength of the individual determinants that shape the IIT. The results point to strong trade links between EU Member States in the automotive industry, which are no longer enough to be explained by application of the theory of international trade based on comparative advantages – but the results rather suggest that it is necessary to consider theories based on the differentiation of products and economies of scale. Trade in the automotive industry between the Czech Republic and the EU27 is thus rather a reflection of the decisions of the top management of automotive companies. In addition, as the automotive industry is the backbone of the economies of many EU Member States, the results of this thesis point to the fact that supply chains in this industry are coordinated independently of the European Union and can be considered drivers of European integration.
