Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou slovenského předsednictví v Radě Evropské unie. Na úvod práce jsou v rámci historického exkursu vymezeny souvislosti a milníky vstupu Slovenské republiky do EU a vzniku a fungování Rady EU, v jejímž rámci předsednická role států vzniká. Dále se autor zaměřuje na vývoj samotného institutu předsednictví a rozvoj jeho kompetencí. Ve druhé části je analyzován společný program předsednické trojice Nizozemsko, Slovensko, Malta a následně program slovenského předsednictví. V poslední části autor analyzuje jeho organizaci a průběh, včetně těch oblastí a bodů programu, kterým se během šesti sledovaných měsíců slovenská administrativa věnovala a kde dosáhla konkrétních výsledků. This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the Slovak Presidency in the Council of the European union. At the beginning within the historical excursion the context and main milestones of the accession of the Slovak Republic to the EU are defined, as well as the establishment and functioning of the Council of the EU, within which the presidential role of the states originates. Then the author focuses on the development of the institute of the Presidency itself and on the expansion of its competences. In the second part, the common programme of the Presidency trio of Nethelands, Slovakia and Malta is being analysed, followed by the programme of the Slovak Presidency. In the last part the author analyses its organization and progress, including those areas and points of the programme, which were pursued by the Slovak administration within the six tracked month and where it reached particular results.
