Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou vývoje komoditní vertikály cukru v Srbsku, popisuje vývoj komoditní vertikály cukru a jejích jednotlivých segmentů v podmínkách podnikatelského prostředí Srbska a v reakci na probíhající liberalizační a globalizační tendence. Teoretická část byla věnována k vysvětlení pojmů cukrová řepa/cukr, podnikatelské prostředí, agrární trh a globalizace. Vlastní práce se zaměřovala na popisování komoditní vertikály a analýzou produkce cukrové řepy a cukru a jejích cen jak na trhu Srbska, tak na evropském trhu. Analyzovala se spotřeba cukru a zahraniční obchod. Závěrem diplomové práce bylo shrnout dílčí závěry a věnovat se k celkovému zhodnocení cukrovarnického průmyslu v Srbsku. SWOT analýza je využívaná k mapovaní hlavních faktorů, jenž mají vliv na trh s cukrem v Srbsku. This thesis tackles the problem of the development of the sugar commodity chain in Serbia, characterizes the development of the same, and its various segments in the business environment in Serbia as well as a response to the current trends of liberalization and globalization. In the theoretical part of the thesis, an explanation of the concepts of sugar beet, sugar, business environment, agricultural market and globalization is given. In the research part, the focus is put on describing chain production as well as analyzing the production of both sugar beet and sugar and its prices in the Serbian and European markets. In particular, sugar consumption and foreign trade were analyzed. In the final part of the thesis, the partial conclusions of the same were collected and a dedication to the overall assessment of the sugar industry in Serbia was made. SWOT analysis is used to map the main factors affecting the sugar market in Serbia.
