Topinambur hlíznatý je plodina pěstovaná po celém světě, v České republice se pěstuje pouze okrajově. Využívá se nadzemní hmota ke krmení a hlízy též jako krmivo nebo ke konzumaci. V některých zemích má zastoupení a využití výrazně širší než v ČR. V roce 2017 byl realizován maloparcelkový pokus, rozdělený na 3 varianty podle počtu defoliací. Na 1. variantě byla nadzemní biomasa sklizena celkem třikrát ročně a poskytla 8,13 t.ha-1 sušiny a 46,7 t.ha-1 čerstvé hmoty. Dohromady dvakrát sečená varianta 2 dosáhla výnosu sušiny 7,85 t.ha-1 (40,2 t.ha-1) a třetí varianta byla sklizena až po skončení vegetačního období 13,35 t.ha-1 (37,6 t.ha-1). Kvalita nadzemní biomasy byla rozdílná a tím i její krmná hodnota. Výnos hlíz byl vysoce průkazně nejvyšší ve 3. variantě, kde byla nať sklizena jednou na konci vegetace (61,2 t.ha-1). V průběhu vegetace dvakrát sečená varianta vyprodukovala 15,9 t.ha-1 (26,0 % oproti variantě 3) a jednou sečená varianta 45,4 t.ha-1 (74,2 %). In spite of Jerusalem artichoke is a worldwide cultivated crop, in Czech Republic has minor importance. The aboveground mass is used to feed animal, tubers too or is consumed by people. There are countries, where is grown much more and use is wider. In 2017 was realized a small field experiment, divided in 3 variants. The 1st variant, of which aboveground mass was harvested during whole year three times, yielded 46,7 t.ha-1 of fresh leafy stalks of which 8,13 t.ha-1 was dry matter The 2nd variant, harvested in total twice, reached 40,2 t.ha-1 and 7,85 t.ha-1 of dry matter. The 3rd variant was harvested after the end of growing season and produced 37,6 t.ha-1 of fresh and 13,35 t.ha-1 of dry stems and leaves. The quality and feed value of aboveground mass was each harvest very different. The 3rd variant yielded high significantly most tubers (61,2 t.ha-1). The yield of 1st variant 15,9 t.ha-1 (26 % of 3rd) was high significantly smaller than yield 45,4 t.ha-1 (74,2 % of 3rd) of the 2nd variant.
