Tato diplomová práce se zabývá pojetím Welfare state v České republice z ekonomického a sociálního pohledu. Zkoumá vývoj různých základních makroekonomických ukazatelů a zejména množství veřejných výdajů vynaložených do různých oblastí sociální politiky. První část práce zobrazuje komplexní přehled teoretických informací o welfare state, sociální politice a finanční gramotnosti. Stěžejní část práce je zaměřena na pojetí penzijního systému, rodinné politiky, politiku zaměstnanosti a systém vzdělávání v České republice. K vyhodnocení výzkumné otázky, práce využívá výsledků sekundárních výzkumů, zaměřených na finanční gramotnost populace České republiky. Na konci práce jsou navržena doporučení k modernizaci pojetí systému welfare state v České republice. This diploma thesis deals with the conception of Welfare state in the Czech Republic in economic and social spheres. It examines the evolution of various macroeconomics indicators in particular amount of public expenditure spent into different areas of social policy. The first part shows a comprehensive overview of theoretical information about welfare state, social policy and financial literacy. The main section is focused on conception of pension scheme, family politics, employment policy and education system in the Czech Republic. The thesis is using the results of secondary research to evaluate the research questions. At the end of this diploma thesis there are proposed recommendations leading to modernization of conception of welfare state in the Czech Republic.
