Diplomová práce se věnuje charakteristice jednotlivých živin, které se normují v krmných dávkách krmiv pro všechny věkové kategorie psů. První část se věnuje shrnutí informací o potřebě a významu jednotlivých živin ve výživě psa. V práci jsou uvedeny vstupní suroviny, které se využívají při výrobě krmiv. Věnuje se rozdělení krmiv podle věkových kategorií a dle obsahu vlhkosti. Práce též informuje o legislativních požadavcích na používání a označování krmiv. Hlavní součástí práce byly laboratorní analýzy 10 krmiv pro štěňata, dospělé a starší psy, které hodnotily obsahy popelu, tuků, dusíkatých látek a vlákniny. Výsledné hodnoty byly porovnávány s výrobcem deklarovanými hodnotami testovaných krmiv a s normami a požadavky na krmiva v zájmových chovech Státní veterinární správy (SVS) a Asociace amerických úředníků pro kontrolu krmiv (FEDIAF). Z výsledků vyplývá, že všech deset analyzovaných krmiv splnilo minimální potřeby živin dle SVS, ale u některých krmiv nedosahovaly určité živiny deklarovanému množství. The diploma thesis deals with the characteristics of individual nutrients that are standardized in feed rations for all age categories of dogs. The first part is devoted to a summary of information about the need for and importance of individual nutrients in dog nutrition. The input materials that are used in the production of feed are presented in the work. It deals with the distribution of feed according to age categories and moisture content. The work also informs about the legislative requirements for the use and labeling of feed. The main part of the work was laboratory analysis of 10 feeds for puppies, adults, and older dogs, which evaluated the contents of ash, fat, protein and fiber. The resulting values were compared with the manufacturer's declared values of the tested feed and with the standards and requirements for pet food of the State Veterinary Administration (SVS) and the Association of American Feed Control Officials (FEDIAF). The results show that all ten analyzed feeds met the minimum nutrient requirements according to the SVS but for some feeds certain nutrients did not reach the declared amount.
