Práce se zabývá analýzou vývoje odvětví v Jihomoravském kraji. Cílem práce je zhodnotit vývoj na základě podložených dat. Data jsou čerpána zejména z Českého statistického úřadu. V práci je nejdříve objasněn význam souvisejících pojmů. Následně je provedena analýza ukazatelů JMK – HDP, počet ekonomických subjektů v odvětvích, průměrné mzdy, výdaje na životní prostředí a dále ekonomické subjekty dle právní formy podnikání a dle počtu zaměstnanců, které jsou porovnány s průměrem hodnot ČR. V závěru práce je také vypočítán lokalizační koeficient. Z výsledků analýzy vyplynula nízká diverzifikace odvětvové struktury kraje. Za stěžejní odvětví lze označit především průmysl, z jehož silné pozice by měl kraj čerpat a využít ji pro rozvoj modernějších odvětví, pro udržení kraje jako silného hospodářského celku. Thesis deals with an analysis of the industry development in the South Moravian Region. The aim of the thesis is to assess the development on evidence-based data. Data are obtained mostly from the Czech Statistical Office. The first part of the thesis explains relevant terms. In the second part of the work the analysis of the South Moravian Region indicators is made – GDP, economic subjects in the sectors, average wages, spending on the environment and then economic subjects according to the legal forms of businesses and according to the number of employees, which are subsequently compared with the average values of the Czech Republic. In the conclusion of the work is also calculated the location coefficient. Results of the analysis revealed low diversification of the sectoral structure. As a crucial sector can be described mainly industry, from it’s strong position should the region draw on and use it for the development of modern industry, to maintain the region as a strong economic unit.
