Táto bakalárska práca je zameraná na využitie rodu Amelanchier Medic. v okras-nom záhradnictve, krajinárskej tvorbe, ovocníctve a jeho využitie v ďalších oblastiach. Práca je rozdelená na dve časti a to teoretickú a praktickú. Teoretická časť popisuje rod Amelanchier a jeho druhy. Ďalej sa zameriava na nároky na klimatické podmínky, stano-visko, spôsoby množenia, objavené choroby a škodcovia a v neposlednej rade využitie. Praktická časť je zameraná na sortiment rodu Amelanchier Medic. v Českej republike, Slovenskej republike a v zahraničí. Bol uskutočnený prieskum sortimentu vo vybraných zahradnickych firmách v Českej republike a vo vybraných štátoch (USA, Anglicko, Ho-landsko). Porovnaním sortimentu ponúkaného v Českej republike, Slovenskej republike a vo vybraných štátoch, boli spracované výsledky, z ktorých vyplynulo, že predaj a pesto-vanie je zamerané v Českej a Slovenskej republike predovštekým na Amelanchier alni-folia a Amelanchier lamarckii, s dôrazom na užitkovosť rastliny a nie na okrasnú funk-ciu. V zahraničných krajinách je trend opačný a sortiment širší. This bachelor work focuses on the uses of genus Amelanchier Medic. in the orna-mental horticulture, landscape formation, fruit production and its uses in other areas. The thesis is divided into two parts , theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the genus Amelanchier Medic. and its species. Then it focuses on the climatic condition requirements, areas, and discovered pests and diseases and mainly its uses. The practical part is focused on the offers in the selected horticultural companies in the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and in the selected states (USA, England and Netherlands). In the comparison of the offers offered in the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and the selected states, were processed results, which showed that the sales in the Czech and Slovak Republic focuses mainly on species Amelanchier alnifolia, Ame-lanchier lamarckii, accent´s produce function of plant and no ornamental fuction. In the foreign states is trend opposite and offer is wider.
