Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rozvojem ostravské aglomerace po vstupu ČR do EU, tedy konkrétně po roce 2004. Cílem práce bylo zhodnotit změny v rozsahu a struktuře nosných odvětví. V literární části byl blíže specifikován regionální rozvoj a jeho souvislosti. Dále byl popsán historický vývoj regionu v oblasti hospodářství. V poslední části rešerše byla zkoumaná oblast představena v rámci geografického vymezení a hospodářské struktury. Výsledky rozvoje prezentované v analytické části byly ukázány na průmyslu a jeho nejvýznamnějších oblastech. Hlavní zdroje rozvoje aglomerace byly představeny v podobě významných průmyslových podniků. V posledním bodě práce byl rozvoj analyzován pomocí ekonomických, sociálních a environmentálních ukazatelů. This bachelor thesis addresses the development of Ostrava agglomeration after the accession of Czech Republic to the EU, specifically after the year 2004. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate changes in extent and structure of supporting industries. In the literature research a regional development was specified in detail and its other contexts. Furthermore, a historic development was described in the field of economy. In the last part of this search the studied area was introduced from the geography view and economic structure. The results of development were presented in the analysis through the industry and its very important units. Main sources of development of agglomeration were presented in the form of the most important companies. In the very last part of thesis the development was analyzed on economic, social and environmental indicators.
