Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem výstavby nového sportovně společenského komplexu. Na základě předchozí analýzy a předpokládaných tezí sportovně kulturní typologie sokolské architektury si dává za cíl ověřit, zda je tyto koncepce možno aplikovat v současné době, za jiných ekonomických i společenských podmínek. V práci je kladen důraz na urbanistické začlenění nových forem do stávající struktury centra Zlína. Projekt reaguje na rozvoj stávajícího komplexu sportovních budov, absenci veřejného prostoru v blízkosti centra města a problémy dopravy v daném území. Návrhem je komplex sportovního centra a hotelu uzavírající severní část řešeného území a soubor bytových domů před stávající halou. Návrh zároveň řeší novou dopravní infrastrukturu i veřejné prostory v celkovém kontextu.
Main topic of Diploma thesis is to create a complex project for building a new sport-social complex. Based on a previously handled analysis and presumptive sport-cultural thesis of Sokol architecture, creates a main aim of the project – to proove if this concept of architectural thinking can be applied nowadays even with a contribution of actual economic and social conditions. Plan reacts on development of already built sport buildings, the absence of public area subsistent the downtown of Zlin and problems of traffic in touched area. Plan consists of a complex sport center and a hotel that is closing the north part of touched area with residential area before actual sport complex. Project also includes suggestions for transport infrastructure and public areas in thorough context.
