Bakalářská práce se zabývá catching-up procesem. První teoretická část je zaměřena na samotný proces dohánění obecně a jeho teoretické vysvětlení. Dále řeší otázku, proč ekonomiky některých zemí rostou rychleji či naopak pomaleji. Rozebírá faktory, které ovlivňují rychlost hospodářského růstu. Druhá část se zabývá analýzou růstu české ekonomiky od poloviny 90. let. Co napomohlo, či naopak zbrzdilo hospodářský růst. Jaký je současný stav ČR, její nedostatky, rizika a příležitosti. Jakými opatřeními ze strany státu lze urychlit hospodářský růst. Jak probíhá proces dohánění zemí EU v komparaci s některými dalšími zeměmi. This bachelor paper deals with the catching-up process. The first theoretical part generally describes the catching-up process. It focuses on its theoretical explanation. Further it deals with an issue, why economies of some countries grow faster or more slowly and what the main determinants affecting the rate of economic growth are. The second part analyzes the growth of Czech economy since the midnineties. What factors have advanced or retarded the economic growth. What the current level of the Czech Republic is, what its weaknesses, threats and opportunities are. What measures the government may take in order to accelerate the economic growth and how the process of cathing-up the EU memer states is going on in comparison with some other countries.
