Hodnocení úspěšnosti předpovědí počasí je základním faktorem posouvajícím jejich kvalitu. Pro toto hodnocení je nutné využívat statistických metod. Nicméně, existence velkého množství statistických metod komplikuje jejich volbu a porovnávání výsledků odlišných studií. K překonání tohoto znalostního problému, jsme se zabývali statistic- kými metodami vhodnými pro hodnocení úspěšnosti krátkodobé předpovědi počasí de- terministických veličin a radarového nowcastingu. Práce se věnuje využití statistických metod k vyhodnocení nowcastingu radarového echa a předpovědi numerických předpověd- ních modelů. Dále se věnuje využití statistických metod pro definování účelových funkcí a jejich použití pro učení nowcastingového modelu radarového echa. Naučené nowcas- tingové modely byly verifikovány. V práci byly použity numerické předpovědní modely ICON a WRF. Předpovědi byly verifikovány pomocí dat ze synoptických stanic a reana- lýzy ERA5 v oblasti České republiky. Predikce radarového echa nowcastingových modelů pySTEPS, rainymotion a MWNet v1.0 byly verifikovány pomocí radarových snímků v oblasti České republiky. Statistické metody se ve většině případech shodovaly při vy- hodnocování předpovědi počasí numerickými předpovědními modely. Při vyhodnocování předpovědi radarového echa nowcastingovými modely byly rozdíly... Evaluating the success of the weather forecast is a fundamental factor in improving their quality. It is necessary to use statistical methods for this evaluation. However, the existence of a large number of statistical methods complicates their choice and com- paring the results of different studies. To bridge this knowledge problem, we dealt with statistical methods suitable for evaluating accuracy of short-range weather forecasts of deterministic variables. Thesis is dedicated to utilization of statistical methods for veri- fying radar echo nowcasting and for forecasts of numerical weather prediction models. In addition, it also deals with the use of statistical methods for defining loss functions and their use for learning the radar echo nowcasting model. Learned nowcasting models were verified. Numerical weather prediction models ICON and WRF were included to the work. Forecasts were verified with data from synoptic stations and ERA5 reanalysis in the do- main of the Czech Republic. The forecasts of the radar echo of the nowcasting models pySTEPS, rainymotion and MWNet v1.0 were verified with radar images in the domain of the Czech Republic.
