Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá sexuálně přenosnou infekcí lidského papilomaviru (HPV) a jejích potenciálních rizik pro vznik nádorových onemocnění. HPV je rizikový faktor, který je příčinou karcinomu děložního hrdla, jednoho z nejčastějších příčin úmrtí nádorových onemocnění u žen. I přes to, že se HPV infikuje většina ženské a mužské populace během svého sexuálně aktivního života, a to především do 30 let, ženy jsou převážně citlivější vůči této infekci. V mladém organismu ji může imunitní systém odstranit bez povšimnutí do 2 let, ale v případě kmenu HPV z vysoce rizikové skupiny může nevinná infekce vyústit až ve smrtelnou. Především u mužů se v posledních letech čím dál více vyskytuje zhoubný novotvar oblasti hlavy a krku, např. část orofaryngu, jehož jednou z přičin je právě HPV. Infekce HPV proto v posledních letech přestává být spojována pouze s nádorovými onemocněními ženských pohlavních orgánů. HPV způsobuje u mužů i nádory penisu či análního otvoru, proto je zapotřebí lepšího poučení populace o rizicích HPV, a to především u mladé generace, u které se mění vzorec sexuálního chování, a proto virus již napadá nejen tkáně pohlavních orgánů. Práce se zabývá popisem a epidemiologií těchto typů nádorů a také sociálními determinanty, které infekci ovlivňují. Znalost rizik HPV je klíčovým... This diploma thesis deals with sexually transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and potential cancer risks that it causes. HPV is a factor of cervical cancer, one of the most common cancer cause of death in women, cervical cancer. Despite the fact that the majority of both female and male population become infected with HPV during their sexually active lives, especially before the age of 30, women are predominantly more susceptible to this infection. When young, the immune system can clear HPV within 2 years unnoticed but in the case of high-risk HPV, an innocent infection can be fatal. In recent years, the male population in particular has been increasingly affected by malignant neoplasms of the head and neck, such as oropharynx, which are caused by HPV. In recent years, HPV has ceased to be associated only with female genital cancer. However, this infection also causes penile and anal cancer in men so there is a need to better educate the population about the risks of HPV, especially the younger generation whose sexual behaviour is changing and therefore the virus in no longer only affecting genital tissue.
