The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to map and analyze everyday life and cultural habits of the new communist elites after 1948. On one hand, the thesis is trying to investigate cultural preferences and social contacts of the elite and the role of the social representation and public behaviour is explored. On the other hand, everyday life, new social standing and changing conditions of the individuals in their private life are being examined as well. The thesis is trying to evaluate changes in the social hierarchy, transformations of the self- confidence and self-awareness of the new communist elite. Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je zmapovať a podľa archívnych materiálov preskúmať každodenný život a kultúrne návyky nových komunistických elít po roku 1948. Na jednej strane práca mapuje kultúrne vyžitie predstaviteľov a s tým súvisiace sociálne kontakty, umelecké preferencie a úlohu spoločenskej reprezentácie, ktorá súvisí s verejným vystupovaním. Na druhej strane sa práca zameriava na každodenný život, zhodnocuje ich nové sociálne ukotvenie v spoločnosti a s tým súvisiace meniace sa životné podmienky jednotlivých členov v domácnosti a v súkromnom živote. Práca skúma a hodnotí zmeny v sociálnom rebríčku a s tým súvisiace zmeny sebavedomia nových spoločenských elít, prejavy týchto zmien a možné realizácie vedomia o vlastnej vzrastajúcej hodnote a sebadôvere.
