Cílem práce je zhodnocení udržitelného rozvoje cestovního ruchu ve Zlínském kraji, analýza jeho současného stavu a nastínění možného rozvoje v příštích letech. Teoretická část je zaměřena hlavně na historii a vysvětlení pojmů souvisejících jak s trvale udržitelným rozvojem, tak s udržitelným rozvojem cestovního ruchu. Dále následuje analýza současného stavu cestovního ruchu ve Zlínském kraji. V praktické části je Zlínský kraj zhodnocen pomocí indikátorů udržitelného rozvoje cestovního ruchu na základě kritérií stanovených Evropskou unií a dotazníkového šetření, které postihuje povědomí o udržitelném cestovním ruchu rezidentů, návštěvníků, podnikatelů a pracovníků veřejné správy v kraji. K celkovému zhodnocení cestovního ruchu ve Zlínském kraji je pak použita metoda SWOT analýzy. The purpose of this thesis is the evaluation of sustainable tourism in the Zlín Region. The theoretical part focuses on history and definition of sustainable development and sustainable tourism. This part also contains general analysis of tourism in the Zlín Region. The practical part deals with the evaluation of sustainable tourism in the Zlín Region in accordance with the indicators of sustainable tourism and questionnaire research. This research was focused on general knowledge in sustainable tourism between residents, visitors, entrepreneurs and regional authority in Zlín Region. All obtained findings are summarized at the end in SWOT analysis.
